Background
TEWDI Uganda is a non-profit organization registered with the NGO Bureau in Uganda. It was started in 2014 by a group of women concerned about the increasing levels of poverty, human rights violations especially against women and children and the limited access to livelihood skills in poverty-stricken areas in Uganda. The organization is currently implementing development programs in Teso Region and other parts in Eastern Uganda.

TEWDI Uganda has implemented projects in the following districts; Soroti, Serere Bukedea, Busia, Mbale, Kween and Jinja. Our program interventions reach out to farming communities, Households of GBV survivors, and school communities.

Received funding from Foundation S - The SANOFI COLLECTIVE to promote climate action and health resilience project in Soroti District
2019
Worked with a network of 500 farmers in the districts of Serere, Bukedea, Mbale, Busia, Kween and Jinja to promote dry season horticulture among women small holder farmers

From UN Nations Foundation, UCDAVIS through the Horticulture Innovation Lab. Received funding from USAID under Feed the Future
